Tan Seri Haji Muhyidin bin Haji Mohammad Yassin (lahir 15 Mei 1947), merupakan Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia Malaysia dan Timbalan Presiden UMNO . Beliau juga merupakan bekas Menteri Besar Johor, Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Menteri Perdagangan dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna, Menteri Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani dan Menteri Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri dan sekarang memegang jawatan timbalan perdana menteri Malaysia merangkap menteri pelajaran Malaysia yang ke 16.
Beliau berasal dari Muar, Johor dan mendapat pendidikan awal di Sekolah Kebangsaan Maharani dan Sekolah Kebangsaan Ismail serta Sekolah Tinggi Muar di Muar. Kemudiannya beliau melanjutkan pelajaran ke Universiti Malaya dan berjaya memperolehi Ijazah Sarjana Muda Ekonomi dan Pengajian Melayu (1971).
Beliau memulakan kerjaya sebagai Penolong Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Johor (1970) dan kemudiannya Penolong Pegawai Daerah Muar (1974). Pengalaman sebagai penjawat awam digunakan sepenuhnya oleh beliau untuk berkecimpung dalam dunia korporat. Antara tahun 1974 hingga tahun 1978, Tan Sri Dato' telah memegang beberapa jawatan penting di SGS Ates Sdn. Bhd. sebagai Pengurus Perjawatan, Pengarah Urusan Sri Saujana Berhad serta Pengarah Syarikat Equity Mal Sdn Bhd.
Beliau kini mengetuai UMNO Bahagian Pagoh iaitu jawatan yang beliau pegang sejak April 1985 lagi. Sebelum itu beliau telah dipilih menjadi Ketua Pemuda UMNO Bahagian Pagoh pada tahun 1976. Dari situ karier politiknya terus berkembang apabila beliau dilantik menjadi Ketua Pemuda UMNO Malaysia (1982). Pada tahun 1985, buat pertama kalinya, Y.B. Tan Sri Dato' Muhyiddin dipilih menjadi Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO. Jawatan ini digunakan sepenuhnya untuk menabur bakti dan kemudiannya menjadi tokoh yang dipilih menduduki kerusi Naib Presiden bermula September 1993 sehingga 2008.Beliau kemudiannya diundi menjadi Timbalan Presiden UMNO dengan mengalahkan Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd. Taib.
Beliau pertama kalinya dipilih menjadi wakil rakyat apabila beliau memenangi kawasan Parlimen Pagoh pada pilihan raya tahun 1978. Beliau yang berjaya mempertahankan kerusi parlimen berkenaan pada pilihan raya umum pada tahun 1982 telah dilantik menjadi Menteri Besar Johor selepas Pilihan Raya Umum ke-7 apabila memenangi kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri kawasan Bukit Serampang. Di bawah kepimpinan beliau, negeri Johor terus berkembang pesat dan menjadi antara negeri yang termaju di Malaysia.
Beliau juga pernah dilantik menjadi Setiausaha Parlimen Kementerian Luar Negeri Malaysia pada tahun 1981, Timbalan Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan pada tahun 1982 dan Menteri Belia dan Sukan selepas Pilihan Raya Umum ke-9 iaitu pada Mei 1995. Empat tahun kemudian, beliau dilantik menjadi Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna mulai bulan Disember 1999. Pada bulan Januari 2004, beliau diberi kepercayaan mengetuai Kementerian Pertanian berikutan penstrukturan semula Kabinet Persekutuan. Selepas Pilihan Raya Umum ke-11, beliau dilantik semula menjadi Menteri Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani yang fungsinya ditambah bagi memajukan sektor pertanian dan industri yang berkaitan agar lebih berdaya saing.

Tan Sri Haji Mohammad bin Haji Muhyidin Yassin (born May 15, 1947), the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Malaysia and Deputy President of UMNO. He is also the former Chief Minister of Johor, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Minister of Trade and Consumer Affairs, Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry and Minister of International Trade and Industry and now holds the post of deputy prime minister of Malaysia and Malaysia's Minister of Education 16.
He is originally from Muar, Johor, and received his early education at the National School and School Empress Ismail and Muar High School in Muar. Later he furthered his studies at the University of Malaya and obtained a Bachelor of Economics and Malay Studies (1971).
He began his career as Assistant State Secretary of Johor (1970) and later Assistant District Officer, Muar (1974). Experience as a civil servant exclusively used by him to venture into the corporate world. Between the years 1974 to 1978, Tan Sri Dato 'has held several key positions at SGS Ates Sdn. Bhd. as the Personnel Manager, Managing Director of Sri Saujana Berhad and Director of the Company Equity Sdn Bhd Mal.
He currently heads the Pagoh Umno division, a post he held since April 1985. Prior to that he was elected the Chief of Pagoh Division in 1976. From there continue to expand his political career when he became Chief of Malaysia (1982). In 1985, for the first time, Y.B. Tan Sri Dato 'Muhyiddin elected Umno Supreme Council. This office is fully utilized to spread the devotion and later became a prominent elected to serve in the Vice President from September 1993 until 2008.Beliau then voted UMNO deputy president Tan Sri Muhammad beat Muhd. Taib.
He was first chosen to be representative of the people when he won the Pagoh parliamentary election in 1978. He successfully defended the parliamentary seats in general elections in 1982 was appointed as Minister of Johor after the General Elections to-seven when he won the state seats of Bukit prong. Under his leadership, the state of Johor continued to grow rapidly and become one of the most advanced state in Malaysia.
He was also appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia in 1981, Deputy Minister of Federal Territory in 1982 and Minister of Youth and Sport after the general election on the 9th of May 1995. Four years later, he was appointed Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs as of December 1999. In January 2004, he was entrusted to head the Ministry of Agriculture of the restructuring of the Federal Cabinet. After the General Elections to the 11th, he was reappointed as Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry whose function is added to develop the agricultural sector and related industries to be more competitive.
