KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Pelajaran akan mengadakan siri dialog kebangsaan bermula April ini bagi mendapatkan input untuk penyediaan satu Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan, kata Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Muhyiddin, yang juga Menteri Pelajaran, memberitahu persidangan Dewan Rakyat hari ini, pelan itu kemudiannya akan digunakan untuk menggubal satu Perancangan Strategik mengenai hala tuju sistem pendidikan negara pada masa akan datang.
"Kita menjangkakan laporan awal akan dapat dihasilkan pada penghujung September dan laporan akhir dapat dikeluarkan pada Disember tahun ini, serta diikuti dengan penggubalan dan pembangunan Perancangan Strategik pendidikan yang baru," katanya menjawab soalan Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (BN-Bintulu) yang bertanya sama ada kementerian berhasrat mengkaji semula sistem pendidikan kini supaya ia seimbang dengan perkembangan pelajar daripada aspek ilmu, jasmani, rohani dan akhlak.
Muhyiddin berkata, usaha penilaian sistem pendidikan itu akan dilaksanakan Pejabat Pengurusan Projek (PMO) yang diketuai oleh Ketua Pengarah Pelajaran, dengan mengambil kira sembilan bidang keutamaan yang dikenal pasti.
Sembilan bidang itu ialah guru, pemimpin sekolah, kualiti sekolah, kurikulum dan pentaksiran, penguasaan pelbagai bahasa, peluang pendidikan lepasan menengah, ibu bapa dan komuniti, kecekapan dan keberkesanan sumber serta sistem penyampaian pendidikan. - BERNAMA

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Education will hold a series of national dialogue began this April to gather input for the preparation of an Education Development Plan, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, told Parliament today, the plan will then be used to formulate a Strategic Plan on the future direction of the national education system in the near future.
"We expect the initial report will be produced at the end of September and the final report can be released in December this year, and followed by the formulation and development of the Strategic Planning of the new education," she answered questions Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (BN-Bintulu) who asked if no ministry intends to review the present education system so that it balanced with the development of students from areas of knowledge, physical, spiritual and moral values.
Muhyiddin said the joint assessment of the education system will be implemented Project Management Office (PMO), headed by the Director of Education, taking into account the nine priority areas identified.
Nine areas are teachers, school leaders, school quality, curriculum and assessment, control of multiple languages, post-secondary educational opportunities, parents and community, efficiency and effectiveness of resources and education delivery system. - BERNAMA
